THE SHORT VERSION

Sysana’s website code does not currently set advertising, analytics, personalization, or social-media cookies. Essential technologies may be used by our hosting and security infrastructure to deliver and protect the site. If you choose to subscribe, you leave sysana.app and enter Stripe’s hosted checkout, where Stripe may use its own cookies under its policies. We do not use cookies to sell personal information or for cross-context behavioral advertising.

01 / SCOPE

Where this policy applies.

This Cookie Policy applies to the public website at sysana.app, including its product, download, security, pricing, and checkout-preparation pages. It covers cookies and comparable browser or device technologies used when you visit those pages.

It does not govern the Sysana macOS application’s local storage, diagnostic data, or operating-system permissions. It also does not govern a third party’s website after you follow a link away from sysana.app. Those services publish their own notices.

02 / DEFINITIONS

What cookies and similar technologies are.

A cookie is a small text file a website asks a browser to store on a computer, phone, or other device. A cookie can contain an identifier and other limited information that lets a website recognize a browser during one visit or across later visits.

“Similar technologies” can include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, software development kits, device identifiers, and scripts that store information on or read information from a device. In this policy, “cookies” includes these comparable technologies unless a distinction matters.

FIRST-PARTY

Set by the website shown in your address bar.

THIRD-PARTY

Set by another service embedded in or reached from the website.

SESSION

Designed to expire when the browser session ends.

PERSISTENT

Remains until its stated expiry or until you delete it.

03 / CURRENT USE

What Sysana currently uses.

As of the “Last Updated” date above, Sysana’s own website application code does not intentionally place cookies or browser-storage identifiers for analytics, advertising, behavioral profiling, personalization, social-media integration, or marketing attribution.

Basic web requests still transmit information needed for internet communication—such as an IP address, browser type, requested URL, date and time, and security-related request information—to our hosting infrastructure. Server logs and request headers are not cookies because they are not stored on your device by the website, although they may contain personal information. Our handling of personal information should be read together with any applicable privacy notice.

Our hosting, content-delivery, or security providers may use strictly necessary, short-lived technologies to route traffic, balance load, prevent abuse, maintain availability, or protect the service. Their presence can vary by request, location, security event, and infrastructure configuration.

Because essential infrastructure technologies may be created dynamically, their exact names can change without altering their limited purpose. We review this inventory when the website or its providers change.

05 / STRIPE CHECKOUT

Payment happens on Stripe.

When you select a subscription and continue to payment, Sysana creates a checkout session and redirects your browser to a page hosted by Stripe. Stripe may place cookies or use similar technologies to operate checkout, prevent fraud, authenticate a session, remember preferences, measure its services, and comply with legal obligations.

Cookies set on Stripe’s domain are controlled by Stripe, not by Sysana. Their names, purposes, and durations may depend on your location, browser, account status, payment method, and interaction with Stripe. Review Stripe’s Cookie Policy ↗ and Stripe’s Privacy Policy ↗ before using its checkout if you want current details.

Returning to sysana.app after payment does not give Sysana access to the contents of Stripe’s cookies. Sysana receives the checkout result and subscription information needed to provide and administer the purchased service, but does not receive your full card number or CVC.

06 / CATEGORIES

How we classify technologies.

A / STRICTLY NECESSARY

Required to provide a feature you request or to keep the website secure and available. Depending on applicable law, these may not require consent, but we still describe them here.

B / FUNCTIONAL

Remember optional settings that improve convenience. If introduced, they will be treated according to applicable consent requirements.

C / ANALYTICS

Help understand how people use the site. Sysana does not currently use analytics cookies. We will update our disclosures and consent controls before introducing non-essential analytics cookies where required.

D / ADVERTISING

Support targeted advertising, retargeting, or cross-site profiles. Sysana does not currently use advertising cookies and does not use cookies to sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

07 / YOUR CHOICES

How consent and control work.

Because sysana.app currently does not intentionally set non-essential cookies, it does not display a cookie-consent banner. A banner that offers choices is unnecessary when there are no optional website cookies to accept or reject.

If we add non-essential cookies, we will provide notice and, where required, request consent before placing them. Declining optional cookies will not prevent access to core public website content. Where consent is the basis for use, you will be able to withdraw it as easily as you gave it.

You can also avoid third-party checkout cookies by not proceeding from Sysana to Stripe. Doing so means we cannot complete an online subscription transaction.

08 / BROWSER CONTROLS

Manage storage from your device.

Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies; block all third-party cookies; clear site data when you close the browser; and create exceptions for specific websites. These controls are usually found under “Privacy,” “Security,” “Cookies,” or “Site data.” Browser settings differ and may change, so consult your browser’s help documentation.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies can cause checkout, fraud prevention, security, account authentication, or other requested features to fail. Deleting cookies may remove saved settings and may require you to repeat choices or sign in again on third-party services.

09 / PRIVACY SIGNALS

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” (DNT). There is no single, universally adopted technical standard that determines how every website must respond to DNT, and Sysana does not currently change its behavior in response to that signal.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) can communicate a legally recognized request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information in certain jurisdictions. Sysana does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising through website cookies. Accordingly, there is no cookie-based sale or sharing to disable on sysana.app. If our practices change, we will evaluate and honor applicable browser-based opt-out signals as required by law.

10 / RETENTION & CHANGES

Duration, review, and policy updates.

We expect any strictly necessary cookie to last only as long as reasonably needed for its technical or security purpose. Session cookies generally expire after a browser session; persistent cookies expire on their stated date or when deleted. Third parties determine retention for cookies they control.

We may update this policy when our website, providers, technologies, or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, a prominent notice or renewed consent request. Earlier versions may be requested using the contact details below.

You should review this page periodically, especially before using a newly introduced website feature.
