When these Terms apply.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and UniVanta LLC, operator of Sysana (“Sysana,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), covering the Sysana Mac application, Sysana Intelligence, sysana.app, updates, and support (together, the “Service”).

You accept these Terms when you select “Accept and Continue” in the application or otherwise use the Service after being given access to them. If you do not agree, do not use Sysana. Our Privacy Policy explains information practices and is a notice, not a waiver of privacy rights.

For an App Store download, Apple’s applicable Licensed Application End User License Agreement and App Store terms also apply. Where those terms, these Terms, or mandatory law conflict, the rule that legally controls takes priority.

You must be able to form this agreement.

You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use where law permits. If you use Sysana for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. You may use Sysana only on Macs you own, manage, or are authorized to inspect.

What Sysana provides.

Sysana analyzes accessible macOS signals and metadata to help explain performance, memory, storage, battery, thermal, process, application, browser-data, and maintenance conditions. Features can include local timelines, Deep Diagnosis, storage maps, duplicate verification, and recommendations that explain the next step.

In this App Store version, Sysana is read-only: it does not delete files, uninstall applications, clear browser data, or terminate processes. Results depend on your Mac, macOS version, active processes, granted permissions, selected folders, scan completion, network availability, and third-party services. A protected or unscanned location may be reported as unavailable or partial. Screenshots and demonstrations are illustrative and are not a promise that every feature works on every Mac.

A limited right to use Sysana.

Subject to these Terms and applicable App Store rules, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the official Sysana application on Apple devices associated with your Apple Account as Apple permits. The application is licensed, not sold.

Except where non-waivable law permits it, you may not redistribute, rent, sublicense, sell, publicly host, reverse engineer, decompile, bypass access or rate limits, extract protected models or source code, or distribute a modified installer as genuine Sysana.

Optional subscription billing is handled by Apple.

Sysana currently includes up to five successful Sysana Intelligence credits for the lifetime of a Sysana installation on one Mac without a paid subscription. Credits are not tied to an Apple Account, are not an Apple Account benefit, and do not reset when the Apple Account changes. Failed service requests are not counted. Local diagnostics, monitoring, scans, maintenance, and alerts do not consume those credits. The credit balance does not renew or reset and may include reasonable anti-abuse controls.

Optional monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions unlock ongoing Sysana Intelligence discussion while active. Paid access has no complimentary-credit allowance, but reasonable request-size, fair-use, security, availability, and abuse-prevention limits still apply. No free trial is currently offered. The App Store purchase screen displays the current localized price, currency, billing period, renewal terms, and required disclosures before confirmation.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically for the selected monthly or annual period unless canceled as required by Apple before the current period ends. Apple may change taxes, currencies, billing availability, or renewal handling under its terms. We do not receive your full payment-card number.

Manage purchases through Apple.

You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation stops future renewal; paid access normally continues until the end of the current billing period. Deleting Sysana does not cancel a subscription.

Apple is the merchant and payment processor for App Store purchases. Refund eligibility and processing are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable law. Request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com ↗. We can help troubleshoot access, but cannot issue or promise an App Store refund on Apple’s behalf. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Your choices remain essential.

macOS controls access to protected folders, data belonging to other applications, Photos, Automation, Full Disk Access, notifications, login items, and similar resources. Sysana explains relevant permissions in context. You may deny or revoke them, but results may then be incomplete and related recommendations may be unavailable.

Sysana can show the evidence behind a recommendation and guide you to Finder, Safari, or macOS Settings, but it does not make those changes for you in this App Store version. You remain responsible for reviewing any change you decide to make. Do not use Sysana as a backup, data-recovery, antivirus, or forensic-security product.

AI guidance still requires judgment.

Sysana Intelligence uses automated systems to answer Mac questions, explain supplied diagnostics, and suggest next steps. It may use official Apple Support or Apple Developer sources when useful. Outputs can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong, and a cited general article does not prove a diagnosis on your Mac.

Verify important facts and prefer reversible actions. Sysana Intelligence is not legal, medical, financial, forensic, emergency, hardware-repair, or professional data-recovery advice. It does not guarantee that a Mac is secure, healthy, malware-free, optimized, or protected from data loss, and must not be used in safety-critical environments.

Local analysis and cloud features have different boundaries.

The Privacy Policy explains what remains on your Mac and what is transmitted when you deliberately use Sysana Intelligence, the website, App Store billing, or support. You retain ownership of your files and information. You grant us only the limited rights needed to process material you choose to submit for the requested Service, security, and support.

Do not submit passwords, payment credentials, private file contents, or information you lack the right to use. Revoking cloud consent disables cloud Intelligence without disabling local diagnostics.

Use Sysana lawfully.

You must not use the Service to inspect a Mac without authorization; violate another person’s rights; distribute malware; interfere with or probe the Service without written permission; evade quotas or purchase verification; automate abusive requests; impersonate Sysana or Apple; or use extracted outputs, code, or protected materials to create a confusing or unlawfully competing service.

Report good-faith security findings to security@sysana.app. Do not include passwords, private files, or live secrets.

Sysana remains our technology.

The Service, software, interfaces, branding, graphics, text, compilations, and underlying technology are owned by UniVanta LLC or its licensors and protected by law. Apple and third-party names remain property of their owners. Sysana is independent and is not endorsed by Apple.

If you voluntarily provide feedback, you allow us to use it without payment or attribution to improve or commercialize Sysana. This does not transfer ownership of your files or override the Privacy Policy.

The Service will evolve.

We may provide security, compatibility, and feature updates through the App Store. Some functions depend on macOS, Apple services, OpenAI, hosting, internet access, or permissions and may be delayed, limited, or unavailable. Beta or preview features may change or be withdrawn.

We may change or discontinue features for legitimate security, legal, technical, or product reasons. For a material adverse change to a paid service, we will provide notice and remedies where required by Apple’s rules or applicable law.

Some parts depend on others.

Apple distributes the app, manages StoreKit transactions, and controls macOS permissions. OpenAI helps generate Sysana Intelligence answers. Hosting, networking, email, and official Apple documentation may support the Service. Third parties have their own terms and privacy notices. We select and manage providers as required by law but do not control independent services you choose to use.

Access can end for a valid reason.

You may stop using Sysana at any time. We may limit cloud access for abuse, security risk, unlawful activity, material breach, invalid or revoked entitlement, or when providing the feature becomes unlawful or technically impossible. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Local rights to use the app remain subject to Apple’s license terms and mandatory law.

No clause removes mandatory rights.

We will provide the Service with the care and skill required by applicable law. Except for express promises and non-waivable rights, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, complete scans, perfect diagnoses, exact recoverable-space estimates, or successful results from every recommendation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights concerning digital content that is defective, unavailable, or not as described.

Responsibility follows fault and law.

Nothing excludes liability that law prohibits us from limiting, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights. For consumers, we are responsible for reasonably foreseeable losses caused by our breach or failure to use required care, subject to applicable law.

We are not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized use, ignored warnings, failure to maintain reasonable backups, unsupported system modifications, third-party products outside our control, or actions taken outside Sysana, except where law provides otherwise. For business users only, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of US$100 or amounts paid for the Service during the 12 months before the claim.

Resolve problems fairly.

Before a formal claim, contact hello@sysana.app with a description and requested resolution. This does not prevent urgent relief or shorten a legal deadline. Applicable law is determined under ordinary conflict-of-law rules; consumers retain mandatory protections and available courts in their place of residence. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive class rights.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited only as necessary and the remainder continues. Failure to enforce once is not a waiver. We may transfer these Terms in a genuine reorganization, financing, or sale without materially reducing consumer protections.

Material changes receive appropriate notice.

We may update these Terms for product, provider, security, business, or legal changes. The current version and date will appear here. When a material change requires renewed agreement, Sysana may ask you to review and accept the new version before continuing. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights.
