Sysana Pro is a paid, automatically renewing subscription with no free trial. The amount and billing interval shown at checkout are charged immediately and again at each renewal until you cancel. You receive a limited license to use Sysana on one Mac at a time. Sysana provides diagnostics, explanations, and suggested actions—not a guarantee that every issue will be found or fixed. You remain responsible for reviewing recommendations and maintaining backups. Our 14-day commercial refund guarantee and mandatory consumer rights still apply.
When these Terms apply.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and the operator of Sysana (“Sysana,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) concerning the Sysana website, Sysana Pro subscription, official Mac application, downloads, updates, support, and related services (together, the “Service”).
You accept these Terms when you click a button indicating agreement, complete a subscription purchase after being shown a link to them, download or install the application, or use the Service. If you do not agree, do not purchase, install, or use the Service.
The Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and any plan-specific terms shown at checkout are incorporated into this agreement. The Cookie Policy explains website storage technologies. If a plan-specific term directly conflicts with these Terms, the more specific term controls for that issue, while mandatory law always controls over both.
You must be able to form this agreement.
You may use the Service only if you can legally enter into a binding contract. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, unless a parent or legal guardian purchases and supervises the Service and applicable law permits that arrangement.
If you use Sysana for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. In that case, “you” includes the organization, except provisions expressly limited to individual consumers. You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from receiving it.
What Sysana provides.
Sysana is a macOS system-intelligence utility designed to analyze system signals and help explain performance, storage, battery, energy, thermal, process, and related conditions. Features may include local diagnostics, timelines, natural-language explanations, cleanup planning, and user-approved actions.
Feature availability depends on the published version, your Mac model, macOS version, permissions, subscription status, network availability, and technical compatibility. Website demonstrations, product images, sample metrics, roadmaps, and descriptions of unreleased features are illustrative and are not a promise that every displayed capability is currently available.
As of the effective date, the public download may not yet be available. Do not purchase based solely on an unreleased feature or unofficial installer. If you pay but the purchased Service cannot be provided, the Refund Policy and applicable consumer law apply.
A limited right to use Sysana.
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Sysana grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license during your active subscription to install and use the official application on one Mac at a time for your own internal personal or business purposes.
You may move the license to a replacement Mac if you stop using it on the prior Mac. You do not receive ownership of the software, source code, models, designs, content, or underlying technology. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Unless applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction, you may not copy, redistribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense, publicly host, timeshare, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, bypass technical limits, extract models or source code, or create derivative works from the Service. You may make an archival copy only where legally permitted and only for your own authorized use.
Recurring billing must be understood before purchase.
Sysana does not offer a seven-day or other free trial. The checkout page shows the exact amount due today, the billing interval, and the monthly equivalent before you continue to Stripe.
Sysana Pro plans currently renew monthly, every three months, every six months, or yearly. By purchasing, you authorize Sysana and Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the amount displayed at checkout and to charge the same plan price at each billing interval until cancellation.
Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars unless checkout states otherwise. Taxes may be added or collected as required. Your bank or payment provider may charge conversion or transaction fees that Sysana does not control.
If payment fails, we may retry the payment, ask you to update the payment method, limit paid features, or suspend the subscription after reasonable notice where practicable. You remain responsible for authorized charges incurred before cancellation or suspension.
We may change prices for a future renewal by giving advance notice required by law. A price change will not alter an already-paid period. If you do not agree, cancel before the new price takes effect. We will seek affirmative consent where law requires it.
Stop future renewals at any time.
You may cancel at any time using the subscription-management method included with your Stripe receipt or by contacting hello@sysana.app. We will not require a cancellation method that is unreasonably harder than signup. Cancellation takes effect for future billing; unless a refund applies, access continues through the current paid period.
Deleting the application or simply not using it does not cancel the subscription. Submit cancellation before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. We will confirm cancellation or provide reasonable instructions needed to complete it.
The Refund Policy provides a 14-day full-refund window for a first paid purchase, a 14-day accidental-renewal review window, and protections for duplicate, incorrect, unavailable, or defective service. Those commercial protections supplement mandatory rights.
Keep access information secure.
If the Service provides an account, license key, activation record, receipt link, or device entitlement, you must keep it secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity reasonably attributable to your access credentials or authorized Mac, except to the extent caused by Sysana’s breach or circumstances outside your reasonable control.
Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, license misuse, or a compromised payment relationship. Do not share credentials publicly or let another person impersonate you. We may require reasonable verification before changing billing, access, or privacy information.
Your approval remains essential.
Some features may require macOS permissions or elevated authorization. Sysana should explain a permission in context. You decide whether to grant it and may revoke it through macOS, although the related feature may stop working.
System maintenance carries inherent risk. Before approving deletion, cleanup, process termination, configuration changes, or other meaningful action, review the target, expected impact, and available evidence. Maintain current backups of important information and save active work. Do not use Sysana as your only backup, disaster-recovery system, security product, or source of truth.
You are responsible for actions you knowingly approve, changes made outside Sysana, unsupported modifications, ignored warnings, and use on systems you do not own or administer. This does not excuse Sysana from responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Useful intelligence still requires judgment.
Sysana may use automated analysis or artificial intelligence to summarize system conditions, answer questions, rank likely causes, and suggest next steps. Outputs are generated from available signals and can be incomplete, outdated, uncertain, or incorrect. Similar symptoms can have different causes.
Review supporting evidence and confirm important facts before acting. Sysana is not professional legal, medical, financial, cybersecurity-forensics, data-recovery, or hardware-repair advice. It does not guarantee that a Mac is secure, healthy, optimized, free of malware, or protected against data loss.
Do not rely on Sysana for emergency response, life-safety systems, critical infrastructure, or any environment where an incorrect recommendation could reasonably cause death, personal injury, or severe physical or environmental damage.
Privacy terms are part of the agreement.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information is processed, for which purposes, when it is disclosed, how it is retained, and what choices may apply. Core diagnostics are represented as local-first, but the final production application may need separate disclosures for licensing, support, AI processing, updates, crash reports, or other released features.
Do not submit content you lack the right to use or unnecessary sensitive information. If a feature lets you transmit questions, diagnostic summaries, feedback, or support material, you grant Sysana the limited rights needed to process that material solely to provide, secure, support, and improve the requested Service, consistent with the Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of information you lawfully provide. These Terms do not give Sysana ownership of your documents, photos, messages, or files.
Use Sysana lawfully and responsibly.
You must not, and must not help another person to:
- Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, deceptively, or to violate another person’s rights.
- Access, monitor, diagnose, alter, or collect information from a Mac or account without authorization.
- Interfere with the Service, probe for vulnerabilities without written permission, bypass rate or access limits, introduce malware, or disrupt another user.
- Use automated methods to scrape, harvest, benchmark for publication, or extract substantial portions of the Service except with written permission or as non-waivable law allows.
- Remove ownership notices, misrepresent affiliation with Sysana, or distribute a modified or unofficial installer as genuine.
- Use the Service to develop a substantially competing model or product through prohibited extraction, cloning, or misuse of protected materials.
- Resell, share, or commercially exploit a personal subscription beyond the license granted above.
Good-faith security research should be reported to security@sysana.app. We will not treat an accidental, promptly reported, non-exploitative discovery as malicious solely because it revealed a vulnerability.
Sysana remains Sysana’s technology.
The Service—including its software, interfaces, designs, graphics, text, branding, logos, compilations, models, logic, and documentation—is owned by Sysana or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property and other laws. “Sysana” and associated branding may not be used in a way that implies endorsement or confuses users about source.
You may reference Sysana truthfully, link to public pages, and use the Service as expressly allowed. No other rights are granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise.
Ideas are welcome, not confidential.
If you voluntarily provide product feedback or suggestions, you grant Sysana a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable right to use, adapt, and commercialize that feedback without payment or attribution. This applies to the idea or suggestion, not to personal information or private files contained in the message, which remain governed by the Privacy Policy.
Do not submit feedback under a confidentiality obligation or include third-party trade secrets.
The product can evolve without a blank check.
We may provide patches, security fixes, compatibility updates, and feature changes. Updates may be installed automatically only if the application and macOS settings permit and we provide any notice required by law. Some updates may be necessary for security or continued operation.
We may change or discontinue features for legitimate reasons such as security, law, technical feasibility, third-party dependencies, product improvement, or low use. We will not use this clause to remove the essential benefit of an already-paid consumer subscription without a reasonable remedy. For a material adverse change, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable and allow affected customers to cancel; a prorated refund or other remedy will be available where required by our policy or law.
Interruptions happen; abandoned promises should not.
We aim to keep the Service reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, macOS changes, network failures, security events, provider outages, force majeure, and other conditions can interrupt or limit features.
A feature identified as beta, preview, experimental, early access, or pre-release may be incomplete, change substantially, or be withdrawn. We will identify such status when reasonably practical. A paid core feature is not converted into a disclaimer merely by calling it beta; mandatory quality and consumer rights continue to apply.
Some parts depend on others.
Stripe processes hosted checkout and recurring payments. Apple controls macOS, permissions, notarization, and platform behavior. Hosting, download, network, AI, or support providers may help deliver parts of the Service. Third-party services can have separate terms and privacy policies.
Sysana is responsible for selecting and managing its providers to the extent required by law, but does not control third-party products you independently choose, your bank, your internet provider, or unofficial downloads. A link is not a promise about every third-party practice.
Restrictions require a reasonable basis.
You may stop using Sysana and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if payment remains overdue, use creates a material security risk, you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, the law requires action, or providing the Service becomes unlawful or technically impossible.
Where reasonable, we will give notice, explain the basis, and allow an opportunity to cure before termination. We may act immediately when needed to prevent fraud, abuse, security harm, illegal activity, or harm to others.
If we end an active paid subscription without your breach and without providing substantially equivalent service, we will provide a fair prorated refund for the unused period unless a better remedy is required by law. On termination, the license ends and you must stop using the application. Provisions intended by their nature to survive—including payment obligations already incurred, ownership, feedback rights, liability rules, and dispute terms—continue to apply.
No clause erases mandatory quality rights.
Sysana will provide the Service with the level of care and skill required by applicable law and will honor non-waivable rights concerning digital content and services that must match their description, be of satisfactory quality, be fit for disclosed purposes, and receive appropriate remedies when faulty.
Except for express promises in these Terms and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that every diagnosis will be complete, every recommendation will achieve a desired result, every feature will work with every Mac configuration, or every interruption will be prevented.
Nothing in these Terms limits a consumer’s right to repair, replacement, repeat performance, price reduction, refund, withdrawal, cancellation, or compensation where applicable law provides it.
Responsibility should follow fault and law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; willful misconduct or gross negligence where it cannot be limited; breach of mandatory consumer rights; or any liability that law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
For consumers: Sysana is responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses caused by your unauthorized use, ignored warnings, lack of reasonable backups, unsupported modifications, third-party products outside our control, or events we could not reasonably avoid—except where law says otherwise. We are not responsible for business losses suffered by a consumer using the Service primarily for personal purposes.
For business users only: to the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, except where caused by fraud, willful misconduct, breach of confidentiality, infringement, or liability that cannot be limited. Sysana’s aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount the business paid Sysana during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
A business-use obligation—not a consumer trap.
This section applies only if you use the Service on behalf of a business or for predominantly commercial purposes. You will defend and indemnify Sysana against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use, unauthorized access to another person’s systems, infringement caused by material you provide, or material breach of the Acceptable Use section.
Sysana must promptly notify you, allow reasonable control of the defense, and cooperate at your expense. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by Sysana or imposes a non-monetary obligation on Sysana without written consent. This section does not require indemnification for Sysana’s own breach, negligence, or misconduct.
Try to resolve problems directly without blocking court access.
Before starting a formal claim, you and Sysana should try in good faith to resolve the issue by written notice to hello@sysana.app. The notice should describe the issue and requested resolution. This informal step does not shorten a limitation period or prevent either party from seeking urgent relief.
These Terms are governed by applicable law determined under ordinary conflict-of-law rules. Consumers keep the protection of mandatory laws in their country of residence and may bring claims in any court available under those laws. No clause here requires individual arbitration, waives a class or collective right, or selects an exclusive court.
Business users agree that disputes may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction connected to the Sysana operator or the relevant transaction, subject to any written agreement identifying a specific forum. The parties may voluntarily agree to mediation or other alternative dispute resolution after a dispute arises.
How the agreement operates.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, incorporated policies, plan details, and any written order terms form the agreement about the Service and replace prior discussions on the same subject.
- Order of priority. Mandatory law controls first; individually agreed written terms next; plan-specific checkout terms next; then these Terms and incorporated policies.
- Severability. If a provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only as necessary, and the remainder continues where legally possible.
- No waiver. A failure to enforce a provision once is not a permanent waiver.
- Assignment. You may not transfer the agreement without consent, except where law allows. Sysana may transfer it as part of a genuine reorganization, financing, or sale if the transfer does not materially reduce consumer protections.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, but this does not remove refund or termination rights that law provides when performance cannot resume.
- Electronic communications. You consent to receive transaction, legal, security, and service notices electronically at the address associated with your purchase, subject to applicable law.
- Language. The English version controls only to the extent local law permits. A legally required local-language version or interpretation prevails where applicable.
No silent retroactive rewrite.
We may update these Terms to reflect product changes, security needs, providers, business operations, or law. The current version will show a new “Last Updated” date.
For a material change affecting an active paid subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice and explain when it takes effect. A material change will not retroactively alter a resolved dispute or remove an accrued right. If you reasonably object to a materially adverse change, you may cancel before it takes effect and may receive a prorated refund for unused prepaid time where appropriate or required by law.
Minor clarifications, formatting changes, and changes required immediately for security or law may take effect when posted, with additional notice where required.
